Ricoh np c1500 (sc220)

Hello,

I got ricoh np c1500 and it gives error sc220. can someone please tell me what this error means.
A service manual could be helpful too.

MPc1500 (B229) doesnt show that code. ON other models, tho it points to the LB detection sensor:
SC220: 1st (Beam)Synch. Detection signal error (D)
A polygon motor lock is detected; the LD door is closed; the LD remains on
Disconnected sync detector board; defective LD unit or BICU.

* and of course, there is no laser on the MPc1500.

What does the machine do before it throughs up the SC220 error?

All the codes in the 200 section are linked to the engine unit/print section.
