DSC 424 Faxing On Internal Phone system

    Hi

We have got a DSC 424 on our internal phone system which means that we have to put "9" before the number that we want to dial

and if somone forgets to put 9 it rings the switch board

is there anyway of getting the copier to put 9 for the user so they dont have to remember to put the 9?

    Thanks
    James

IN SP3-103-002 (Fax SP) you can input the PSTN Access number. I don't know if that means that you don't have to dial 9 to get an external line, but maybe it's worth a try.

What does it mean i guess it means it would work so the 9 wouldnt have to be entered ?

If so how would i do it on the copier ?

dont know what SP3-103-002 (Fax SP) is ?

It means the 9 is automatically dialed first when a ph number is entered. SP is a special service mode and you should call a tech if you dont know what it is. They will know how to input this info.

Just give them this info from Eric "IN SP3-103-002 (Fax SP) you can input the PSTN Access number"
If I tell you how to get into service mode and you push the wrong button, you can cause more problems and since you wont know what you did wrong, you will spend even more money trying to find out.

Hi Is what i am doing right going in to the SP3-103-001
Setting it to PABX (have tryed it in PSTN)

                          and then going into 002
pressing the 9 key and then # and then pressing yes when it asks when i want it writing to memory ?

I have also noticed there are some other lines in there how do i know which one i am using or does it default to the one i been working on

                          James

Sounds right, but without a 424 w/ fax option in front of me, I can't really tell for sure.
