savin 2527 firmware?

Hey,
I was wondering where I can get the firmware for my copier. I cannot find it anywhere and I'm not sure what is the latest firmware for this machine.

I want to be able to scan to win7 or at least vista. Both are 64 bit. Right now i'm using a virtual PC with win2003 server just so I can use it to scan with scanrouter lite. Any sugestions would be great.

Just use "Scan to E-mail". The "latest" firmware for your copier (Ricoh 1027) was in 2002.

Is there any reason you're trying to update the firmware? These fella's don't suffer from firmware problems really. Don't update it if you don't need to.

You will never be able to Scan to Win 7 or Vista. Ricoh has not and will not update firmware for low volume machines more than 4 years old I think at the Time Vista came out.

Vista/Win7 use newer versions of the SMB protocol.

Thats what I figured. I just wanted to makesure it wasn't able to be used with the newer SMB.

No firmware update will help, this model is to old to include scan to smb (folder) and ScanRouter Lite has been obsolete for a couple of years now and is no longer updated.

Newer models and some older models with updated firmware will scan to vista shares.
I'm not sure what the story is with Windows 7 at the moment.
The final build is due to be released to manufacturing in the next week or so.
When that happens I will install it on our showroom PC and test some MFDs with it.

I hate scanrouter, but we still service/sell a lot of old Savin 2575's For high volume print/copying. I build a few cheap crap pcs with XP on them and Scanrouter and we lease them as Network Shared File Servers.

What does it mean "Not possible" ?
You need gateway, SMTP's IP address and client's user name/password.
I hate scanrouter (and Windows) too.

I don't see anywhere in the manuals I have it mentioning scan to email. They mention Scanrouter though lol.

It may scan to email, but its not in customer manuals

We have a few of these situations as well, where the MFP can't scan to folder or email on its own (as is the case here), and Scan Router Lite has been filling the need for at least several years.

As Vulkor mentioned, it would probably be best to just keep a cheapie PC with XP running somewhere, with Scan Router Lite on it. (or a Virtual Machine, as you already have)

I can't think of any reason it would need to be a Server OS; XP Workstation (not Home), should work just fine.

Even Windows 2000, for that matter...

If you go to "Web Image Monitor" -> Address book, can you add user's e-mail ?
Press "User Tools"->"System settings"->"File transfer" do you see "SMTP Server" ?

As far as I was aware the Aficio 1022/1027/1032 cannot scan to email (the Aficio 2022/2027/2032 can though).

But saying that the Aficio 1224C/1232C does not appear to be able to scan to email either.
As there are no signs of any SMTP options within the ops panel menus for scan to email.
Yet if you open up the web interface you can indeed see SMTP server settings and you can add email addresses to users in the address book.

So Patish could well be correct (but I cannot confirm it without checking myself).

No SMTP server option. I was hoping there would be an easier way. The copier is for an investment company and we're trying to have it setup so we can save receipts and other information in a digital file cabinet instead of paper.

I just setup a virtual PC running 2003 server and used scanrouter lite and mapped a drive to the offsite ftp server running 2008 server. I use 2003 server over xp because I can get it free being a college student. dreamspark program is awesome!!
