Drum may last to 500k but anything over 300k is probobly stretching it.

A lot of things need to be taken into consideration to make a drum stretch beyond its useable life. I think a big one is how they use the copier, like ten copies at a time, or whether they run 500 copies at a time.

I would say that if you change out the drum brush and blade at 300k, you MIGHT be able to squeeze out 500-600k.

You could theoretically get 500k from this drum but there are obviously some factors affecting this. Some have been mentioned already, my input would be to change the blade and brush every 120-160k and ensure the filter between the pcu and fuser is kept clean.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

          "oem katun"

Never heard of such a thing, lol! But I use Ricoh A295-9510 in 700s, 1060s, and 2060s and they generally go 500-600k if, as said, blade and brush are replaced every PM.

            We say "cartoon" not "katun"
If you don't need quality, you obviously can get to 300k.

We used to use Katun, but had so many service calls with the Drum messing up we quit using them. Same with their hot roller/pressure rollers. You can compare them to Savin. Totally different.

Good luck with Katun. We used them for a while, and they were nothing but problems.

We have been using this after-market brand for drums with very good results for quite a while now:

                  NA Trading and Technology
                  sigpic

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

a Katun OPC for a 500K COULD be possible if a blade and developer every 175K copies and running on a high volume, it goes along with a customer satisfaction compromise the expense for the parts and service.

                    anyhow good luck.
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

We run our machines to the PM schedule so change them at 300k. The Katun drums last 300k ok and are cheaper than the Ricoh ones - not that we have any of these models still in the field.

We found that it was the non OEM blades and brushes that would wear drums out early.
