    MPC2050 through wireless router

    Hi Guys
I have recently installed an MPC2050 on to a wireless router. Everything works fine, printng scanning etc. But the customer is saying that since the install, his connection to the router drops occasionally He is using the router for his broadband connection only, and only has one PC going through it. It seems to happen if there has been no activity on Outlook for a whle and then when he wants to send , it asks him to "try again working offline". When he trys again it works every time, Any ideas?

Not sure if the MFP will have any thing to do with this

This is a REALLY new product. Its possible that the MFP could cause problems like this but rare. Ricoh ironed out most of the previous designs with Firmware. Maybe his Router needs a firmware upgrade?

Yeah, a firmware upgrade might be in order here. Even though it worked fine for 25,245 years before "YOU" came in and put "YOUR STUFF" on their network, some type of incompatibility is causing this. It sounds like it may either be some type of timeout problem or lease setting with DHCP for his computer connection while the Ricoh is probably static. I think that, occasionally, the authentication that is used could cause things like this, and the Ricoh must be dumbing-down the router.
