Xythos scanning with data overwrite security

I have two Lanier LD 325's that are equipped with print/scan, data overwrite security, java B, and Xythos scanning. I only have problems with the machines with overwrite security. I have tried installing the xythos to the HDD, and to the java card itself. Normally it works fine, but sometimes it just does not load java at all, or it brings up the java application manager, and hangs. I replaced the controller on one machine, but it still does it. Problem is, now I have two doing the same thing with the same configuration. By the way, firmwares are up to data.

Anybody have any ideas?
