What would cause this copier to stay in scan function when copier is the chosen function priority???

That setting should be under the user tools. I believe there is some sort of initial mode or primary mode setting....I don't have the user tools manual downloaded.

In user tools I have the copier set under function priority for copy. The copier is going into the scanner function. This should only happen if scanning is chosen. Any thoughts???

Maybe shadow1 means the tac switches, the one you press if you want to use it as copier, or printer, or scanner. The buttons on the left side

Not all all of course - I didn't get that from the initial post

In this case it's a good hint to solder another scanner function micro switch on the panel PCB. If the machine has not a fax option you can simply move one of the unused micro switches and dispose the (probably) defective one.

Had several customers beat on them too hard. The switch collapsed to the point where the slightest vibration would "push" the button
