NO. RPCS is a PCL driver with controller friendly interface written for the Ricoh controller.
PS or postscript is a different print language that requires a licenced CHIP.
Sell them the PS chip if they do a lot of graphics. If they are doing more text, stick with the RPCS.
You can import a .ps file into some desktop publishing packages and print it to any printer from there. Publisher and Acrobat will do it, but if you don't already have it anything you have to buy from Microsoft is way overpriced.
Try Scribus. Downloads | scribus.net Its the best DTP package I have ever used. Its open source, so its totally free, there is a great support community. Plus it runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. (I assume you're using Windows, so make sure you also download and install GhostScript - Mac and Linux fetch it automatically, but windows isn't that smart. This is the tool most programs use to actually read and write .PDF and .PS files)
Thanks friend.
My situation is next.I print invoice on RICOH 1356 ex ,till now i print with RPCS driver and i print on PDF file.I set machine (always) print frst side on TRAY 2 and second side print on TRAY 1.Now i must print invoice
on PS file
Question is :
HOW CAN I SETUP PS DRIVER TO PRINT ON THIS MODUS?
1. To print a .ps or .pdf file, no driver is needed. Just place the file under C: (for example C:AAA.ps)Open the command tool: startrun then type "cmd" and press "enter". In the command tool type: LPR -S IP-Adress -P queue C:AAA.ps and press "enter" (Example: LPR -S 192.168.2.100 -P lp C:AAA.ps) Now the file AAA.ps is transfered to the maschine and printed. Note: The PostScript option is required.
2. As I know Ricoh PostScript Drivers will not support printing fron diffent trays in one printshop. Aditional software is required to do this. For example Infotec Infostream InfoStream 2000 Printmanagement & Printsolutions
