Ricoh 2238C Buttons double beeping ?
I'm maintaining a couple of Ricoh 2238C's.
One of them has an intermittent but consistent problem.
A number of the buttons and control functions (accessed
from LCD touchscreen) do not operate when I press them.
Instead, after a ~3 second delay the machine beeps twice
and returns to its original idle state.
The buttons and functions affected include:
Main Power (On), Energy Saver, and on the
User Tools Menu, the "System Settings" & the "Maintenance" "buttons"
Also, the "Facsimile" User Tools "button" is not showing at all.
I've opened and looked at / cleaned the connections / wires
to the control panel PCBs and there's nothing obvious wrong there.
When this happens, no error code is displayed,
it just beeps twice and goes back to idle state.
The copier functions operate fine and every so often,
after a power cycle, the buttons all seem to work normally.
However this is the exception and it's not consistent.
Thoughts ?
