    coppy quality mpc 4500

    Hi all,
have a problem with a mpc 4500 where if you print a colour photo/test document its fine.
But if you copy off the DF/glass the black text comes out light blue in auto colour /colour mode.If you select b/w its fine Have had a tinker around with the edit colour nothing works.Did a memory clear (except engine) the colour setting you where you can substitute colours is greyed out and can not access it.im leaning towards the ccd.Anyone encounted something similar?Any ideas much apperciated.

If optics are clean and ACC has been performed then I too suspect CCD (Lens Block)

did you print of the non standard data before your mem clear ?

sounds like the shading / backgound has been reset and is now out of sync.

should be able to set up with old smc report.

have seen this also, clean optics, do acc, (then set default to b/w and get out as quick as possible) its possible the black is a three colour black (wild guess sorry, only logged on to play space invaders, its sunday) but the problem would seem to be fairly common if you go looking for it

You are seeing process black when the machine is in auto color select. There is a sensitivity adjustment for ACS somewhere (user tools maybe), you can set it to lean more toward black or more toward color. It seems to help some if the customer has to use ACS mode.
