    Savin 4045 fusing unit thermostats.

I am replacing the thermistors and thermostats in the fusing section of a savin 4045. I am a savin dealer and ordered the pieces from savin. Well the thermostats I received have a different physical shape than what the unit will receive. What I received from savin is a piece that is very straight in shape and what is in the unit I have is offset. Hope this makes sense. I would almost think that the fusing unit in this copier is from another very similar model although I think this is highly unlikely. The price of a new fusing unit (B0827316) makes this option impossible. I have thought of purchasing a fusing unit out of a retired 4045 but have been unable to locate such part.

I am at a loss as to what is going on with this machine.

    Any help/suggestion is much appreciated.

Are the thermostats blown? If they are not, you shouldn't need to replace them.
Don't take that toner with me!

      Fuses are blown.

Yes, one of the fuses is blown and the OEM replacement fuses are physically different than what the fuser unit will accept as well as different from the blown fuse. Good question though.

      Thanks

        Blown Thermostat

I'm sorry it is not the fuse that is bad but the thermostat.

Those thermostats are supposed to be straight for that model. It appears that someone somehow swapped in a different fuser or modified with different tstats and housings. Maybe you only need to put in the original housings for that model to make the tstats fit. The part number is G0654105 (housing) G0654106 (tstats).

Can you tell me what the thermostat number is for the Savin 4045. I show it to be G0654156. Is this correct?

            Thanks

                teebee1234,
Thanks so much. I think someone has replaced the 4045 fuser with one from another machine. I can't find a thermostat that will fit.
