    Cl 7100 printer, black streaks

Hi, All. I have a G106 7100 printer that is getting black streaks from lead to trail edge, both sides of the paper, ONLY when duplexing 11x17. The streaks look like a charge problem. This is an intermittant problem. I was there last week, cleaned the machine and ran the exact same job they were having trouble with and had no problems with it. However, the problem has returned. Anyone run into this before?

i assume, that you changed the black pcu as first against a new one...if so, i would concentrate on the transferbelt cleaning assy. What happens, if you interrupt the printing process by opening the front door? is the transfer belt soiled?

I installed a rebuilt transfer cleaning unit yesterday and that took care of most of the streaking. I cleaned the charge roller on the black pcu and that seemed to resolve the rest of the streaks. I will be installing a new pcu tomorrow along with a transfer belt as it is pretty worn. Thanks for the response, herrmann. You were right on track. I bumped your rep.
