    Gestetner 3502 Finisher (B352)

Need some help, working on a Gestetner finisher that is jamming at the finisher. The paper is jamming at the tray junction. The first 2 times this happened the spring that goes from the lower part of the solenoid to the tray junction was off and after reattaching the machine would work fine. When I went to look at the finisher this time the spring was still attached.

I ran several copies through just fine, but when you choose the option to sort it starts to jam at the tray junction. I took off the back cover to watch the solenoid and check the position of the junction gate. The gate appears in the correct position, the solenoid does not move, everything appears to be working right but I know its not. The other thing I noticed is if you pull out the front door (stapler area) when you close it you can hear this hitting that junction gate and than it is resting on some part of the stapler arear. Is this right or should it be slightly off of it? Was thinking if it should be slightly off of it that maybe the spring that is on the top of the solenoid will need to be replaced or maybe the solenoid is wore out?

Has anybody ran into this before, is this common on this finisher, any parts recommended replacing to start with? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
