SR 850 finisher jam R1-R3

The finisher is on Aficio 2075 and when I select output to finisher tray, says R1-R3 even before the paper riched the fuser section . No problem at all when finisher proof or staple is selected. PLS, any suggestion?

Check the sensors on the tray shift motor

From my experience with these things it could be any of the sensor in the finisher and not usually paper sensors.
I had one recently where one of the sensors on the staple unit was knocked out of position. That ment stripping
out the taple unit and getting in behind the plate it attaches to.......

had a bad staple cartridge give me false misfeed..on start up...or cld be roaming staples in machine..
