Ricoh Aficcio 3224C - Admin / Supervisor Password

    Hi,

I have picked up a second hand Ricoh Aficcio 3224C and it is in good working order but requires a password to change network settings. I have tried all the suggested default passwords for supervisor and admin that I can find on the internet and none seem to work. Is there any way I can reset these passwords, I have already tried clearing the ncs memory and this has cleared network settings but not passwords.

    I'd appreaciate any suggestions!

    Many Thanks,

    Ben

If the supervisor password did not work, then there is only one fix that I know and that is to replace the NVram.

Just to be clear, you tried logging with 'admin' and no password and that failed. Did you try logging in with 'supervisor' and no password? If you did and that fails then yes, you must replace the nvram.
If you are able to login with 'supervisor', then the only thing you can do is reset the administrator password. Then you would login with the new credentials and do your changes.

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunatly none of the suggested username and password combinations have worked. Looks like I will have to get a copy tech in to sort it. Is replacing the NVRam likely to be an expensive job? If so I might just live with the way it is set up for now.

Replacing the NVRAM is not such a big deal. First the engine settings must be backed up to an SD-card. Then the NVRAM is replaced and engine settings are being restored. I don't know what an NVRAM should costs, but it doesn't take a lot of time.
