    Ricoh MP C4500 Yellow Problems

Okay, machine shows no error, but when client prints full color we really only have good density on op side of print for yellow, non op is washed out, very light.

    Any ideas?

Have the drums been replaced recently, if so, have the brass bushes on the rear side of the pcu been put back into place?

Try replacing the transfer unit, we have seen that several times, even with new units, the frame of these units is flimsy. The transfer rollers for each color may break loose causing one color, or only on one side to lose transfer.

I have seen both. First check the pcu for the brushes then check the trans unit rollers at the back where they crack or break.
Ricoh & Microsoft may pay the bills but Un*x saves my ass every day.
            MCSE/CCNE/ENS and other crap...

i agree with the transfer unit answer, have seen several where the rollers in the transfer were not applying even preasure.

In this case it's probably the ITB unit or (a very little chance) the laser/shutter.

I would have inturrupt the printing process of a full yellow A3 pattern to see if the image is OK on the drums, ITB...

I have to agree with duct tape. Let us know what fixes it.

Just encountered this problem today with a newly installed ITB unit, half of the cyan(image) when printing SP 1103 color pattern is very light. Disassembled it(ITB) and found out that the image transfer roller was out of position. fix it then problem was solve.
