How to reset RICOH Aficio 3035 password?

    Hello,

How do I reset the password for Web Image Monitor for my RICOH Aficio 3035 ?
I think the default password has been changed. I tried to log in using "supervisor" without password, but no luck.

    Thanks for any ideas!

Try "admin" or "administrator" withe no password. Worst case scenario you will have to have a tech replace the NVRAM.

Samantha, if your to the point of asking what NVRAM is, it's probably time to call your local service professionals.

I don't think the 3035 has a supervisor account, but if it does, the supervisor log in user name is supervisor. By default there's no password. The only thing you can do with the supervisor account is change the admin password.

Try logging in with the administrator account admin (again, no password). If that doesn't let you in, your technician can clear the memory in SP mode which will default the administrator account back to the default of admin.
I'm trying to think, but nothing happens...

Is that 58XX-11(Network Control Service)? I've never tried that one.

THAT is good info. I know in the past I have had to replace the NVRAM specifically for this issue (some slightly older boxes). I really like the newer equipment as far as design and ease of repair with the exception of actually having to decipher the security protocols which have invaded our niche of the world. Thank God for this site. It has saved me from potential callbacks simply because I took the time to search and/or ask about issues such as this BEFORE I hit the field. Don't get me wrong, I am not a lazy technician. I am not even afforded the possibility of laziness as a solitary tech. One point, though. Whoever wrote the manual on security reference did not intend for end users to understand completely, even though that is included in their manual package. That my be by design. Sorry, I'm not trying to hijack this thread, just venting a little.
