    SC321 Ricoh 350

Had a customer who started to get blank copies followed by an SC321 or SC322...laser related, and a temp fix is to adjust beam pitch. I can't get it perfect, since the SP to print the beam pitch pattern is incorrect. Any ideas?

There are a couple of RTBs about SC321 and SC322 on this model.

Updating the firmware to the latest versions will fix certain mis-detection of SC321.

SC322 is more than likely caused by the laser not hitting the sync board detector within it's tolerance range.
You can try loosing off the screws on the laser diode and pushing it upwards a mm or two then re-tighten the screws... that may alter the lasers path enough to fix the problem.

You can try loosing the laser assy mount screws (2) then lift up on rt side and tighten rt screw, then the left. This worked for me sometimes.

You can try loosing the laser mount screws, then lift the rt side and tighten rt screw, then just tighten the left screw. Worked for me most times.

Ricoh did change the lsd(laser sync detector) for these machines, try replaceing it with the current part #. I don't have it handy right off but can get it if needed. Most current firmware for an Aficio 350 I recall is ver. Z
