Hello, I'm new to this forum but not to copier, printer and network integration technology. I want to admit right off of the bat that I am not a copier technician in the trained and certified sense, but I have worked a great deal with some very good techs over the past 3 years and have learned a ton about hardware and software on both Canon and Savin copiers. I work on a site that has 47 total copiers. We have about a dozen Savin 8020d multi-function copiers. For those unfamiliar with them they are Savin branded Ricoh Aficio 2020d's. I have scan to e-mail set up on almost all of them, and it works great, with 3 exceptions. The three units in question have a quirk, possibly in the firmware, that for whatever reason makes the address book forget that it can store e-mail addresses. Both locally and on the web interface, you can place fax numbers in memory but no e-mail addresses. I hand-checked each machine on site and only 3 out of the 13 have this problem. They were all ordered identically configured and all have serial numbers within range of eachother, thus I can't make any conclusions or find a pattern as to why they are this way. Any help/advice? The techs I have worked with aren't very familiar with the network side of these machines and they are asking around about this issue, but I thought I'd pick brains here as well. Many thanks!
