    Ricoh 1015 with parallel printer connection

    This customer upgraded his computer to a new one with windows 7 and it didnt have a parallel connection for the copier to connect to so they bought a USB adapter to parallel and when they connected it the copier came up with a sc 692 code . I told them to disconnect the copier and now the code stays on . What the hell happened ? Did this blow up the machine or .......

    According to the manual it could just be something as simple as the controller board has been slightly pulled away from the BICU. Worst case, the controller and the BICU have had it.
    It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
