Savin 2545 cannot enter service mode

I have a savin 2545 with the SC541 error code. I replaced both thermistors, but I cannot enter the service mode to reset the error condition. I follow the procedure outlined in the service manual, but the service mode never comes up.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Tim

    same as Ricoh AF1045?

Go to Clear Modes > 143 > Clear/Stop > press & hold Clear/Stop for 5 seconds. This is the procedure for the Ricoh AF1045 and & don't believe that it will be any different on the Savin.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

This does it for all of our Savins ternstes

Clear Modes>107>Clear Stop (Hold Clear Stop until the display shows Service Mode)

I have tried Clear Modes>107>Clear Stop as well as blackcat's suggestion but it is not working. We also have an older ricoh FT6645, a savin 2518d, and a savin 2535, all of which I can get to the SP mode fine by using the same key sequence. It is just this one. It is quite baffling.

Ricoh keypads are notoriously fickle, and at the risk of stating the obvious, are you absolutely sure the machine is recording your keystrokes? Are you sure that those five keys are operating properly?

We have had many of those with either worn switches or cold solder joints at the OP Panel board. We have also seen that code several times and never had a problem resetting it as per procedure, even after the machine has coded, which, in your case, should be almost immediately.
