I Guess the guide plate you are refering to is th B guide plate, if you have a look behind there you should be able to see a black mylar that guides the paper from the trays upto the regestration rollers. This mylar will wear over time and can have a white mark running along it where the lead edge hits it and eventually this mylar will split and cause major jamming problems. I would check this first. Part number is B065 2675

Is this a Ricoh AF1075 ?? if so,

Pull the dev unit and look for signs of dev leaking. If you find a leak, you need to change all the drive gears on the feed and registration sections and possibly the feed station drive motors. Nasty job but...!! IF YOU FIND A LEAK ALSO CHANGE THE BUSHES ON THE DEV UNIT OR THEY WILL LEAK AGAIN!!!!!

I have had this mylar flipped over on itself too from improper removal of a jam. To fix, I just run a piece of cardboard through there by hand to straighten it back out.

Pay attention to this reply. Your machine is a B064(1075) and these models suffer from this affliction frequently.

The whole paper feed section comes out of the side which you will need to do when replaceing the plate with the mylar on it - you will find there is another mylar on a plate in there too that will need replacing.

Registration mylar part numbers - B065 2665 and 2675. They will fit all models of Martini up to and including the C3.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Hit it.
