    Ricoh 2022 hard drive failure

So does anyone have the hard drive, Ricoh 2022, part number handy so I can order one.

Also can I take a notebook drive and create a drive that will work in this copier? That would be a cheaper way to do things!

    Thanks!

if this was an easy thing to do then everybody would be doing it! But it isn't and they are not!!

There's an MB out for the HDD of the 2022/2027. The old part number has changed, so I guess it will work.

Yes. I searched for a HDD for the 2022/2027 and the part number is the same as the 3025/3030.

Don't use the Ricoh part no, just buy from your local computer outlet, it's just a IDE laptop HDD, ricoh will charge you about 4 x the shop price

Take any notebook IDE Hd >20gb , insert it into the Mashine, go into Service Mode SP5-832 and select Format all, after that do SP 5853 (Stamp Data download) and you are done

If in need of Service mode press Yellow-->1-->0-->7 and hold Red until Service Mode appears

                          Good Luck

To everyone who still don't know, you can replace the HDD of the machines using ordinary HDD(IDE or SATA)that can buy on any local computer outlet. Any size is acceptable just format the HDD on the SP mode after replacing.

                              Hope can help....
