    Hello,

    I have a problem with Ricoh A2027 witch says after few copies on touch screen panel "please set photoconductor unit correctly", i have allready changed switch for detection of PCU and the whole PCU.

    There are two switches that are monitored by the BICU board.

    One is the "New PCU Detect Switch" at Connector CN327 pin #6 for ground and pin#7 with 5volts, it looks like a small white push switch.

    Another is the "TD Sensor" also at connector CN327 pin #1 for PCU Set with 5volts, #2 pin is Ground, #3 pin is TD Sensor [Analog], and #4 pin is +5volts it looks similar to a telephone connector or LAN cable connector.

    Which one did you change?

        Ok, well now you know it's the wrong one the push switch is only used to detect a new PCU thats all.

        The other connector needs to be cleaned with a vacum to remove any toner that may have made it's way into it also clean the connector on both the new and the old PCU's (your old PCU is probably still good).

        If it still does not clear the indicator on the display then check the harness on the back of the connector and where it connects on the BICU board.
