Toner out, faxes in memory somewhere? Forward to email?

I have a Ricoh 171SPF. IKON has not come to fill our toner on our machine. The toner ran out and now the faxes will not print. How can I get faxes that are coming in to go to an email?

I believe forwarding has to be turned on before receiving the faxes. I don't think enabling it after faxes are received will forward them. Have you looked in WIM to see of they are accessible?

I'm with zed255. Forwarding must be activated before the faxes are received.

email fowarding must be turned on before receiving the email if not the memory for printing is used, the only way to get your faxes are to install toner.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Open up a web browser, and input the IP address of the machine.

DO NOT LOG IN AS ADMIN

On the left side of the screen, you will see "Fax Receive File". Click on this link.

The resulting link will allow you to download the faxes in memory.

Just curious... I have never heard of a service program where the dealer has the responsibility of adding toner; this is a user function.

The only exception I can think of is where the dealer has their own people working at your facility; a managed site where they do all of these things.

          Is that the case here?

Do you owe the copier company money? Often this is the only way for copier companies to encourage their dead-beat customers to pay their bill. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
