    C2800 spf printing forwarded faxes

I had set this to forward all incoming faxes to a certain folder and set it to not print using UP Sw 11 bit 6. Its been working for about 3 months or so but the customer called me today saying that sometimes at night it will print out faxes that are quite old and that had already been received. I asked he had actually received the older faxes in the folder and he said that he did.
It seems to me that to print an old fax, it must be retaining the image. So I dont get what is happening. Anybody experience something like that? TheFW is up to date as of this month.

Is there a 'forward and store' setting available somewhere (either in user tools or sp)? I'm not sure that there is but I am wondering now. If it was storing them then they should be visible using WIM.

I think you are thinking of SAF memory,(store and forward). But it should be erased if the faxed is delivered or printed. Unless there is an error then it will retain and reprint it, but certainly not after a month. But its a thought. I will go thru the UPs again.

Thanks Neo, I think this is the same as User Parameter 11 bit 6. I'll post back next week when I go out there

This happens if the SAF memory is full because the machine is configured to store every fax job. Check the "reception file settings" within the user tools /fasimilie settings. It's important to adjust this setting on "print" (not "store") even if you don't like to have a printout because the customer prefers to forward the fax job to a mail/smb target. The User Bit SW11/Bit6 setting (printout/no printout while using forwarding) is the right place to go for.

Just check the "reception file settings"

            (wording may differ a bit)

You're welcome - I recall having this problem some time ago and this was a topic during a ricoh-support meeting as well so this seems to be not an uncommon issue^^

Yeah, that was the ticket. At first it would not let me make the change, when attempted I got "Reception file already exist. Setting cannot be changed."
So I tuned forwarding off, flipped the 11-6 bit back to default and rebooted. Then turned on Print instead of Store, turned on Forwading and flipping the 11-6 bit back to 0. Works like a charm. Thanks again. Now to change about 5-6 others before they start calling!
