    Ricoh Aficio 1018, drumunit.

    Machine has 68K on the clock. Cleaning blade seems to be worn.

    What are you guys usually doing in this case. Changing the whole drumunit (nr. please) or only the drum + cleaning blade?

    Any other issues to take care of at 68K? UFR is fine.

      Hi

      The drum, drum blade, charge roller, charge roller cleaner all need chagned at 60K

          Don't forget the developer too.

              I never rebuild these, new PCU assembly and developer. I know it costs more, but it's fast and I pretty much never have PCU related issues. I do however push them as far as they will go before replacing.

                      Just replace these items, it's not difficult.
                      Cleaning Blade B0392289, Drum B0399510, Charge Roller G0523510, Charge Roller Cleaner (Brush) G0602326, Developer Type 19 EDP Code 888095. If you absolutely have to replace the PCU as an assembly, the part # is B0392202

                          Where you find the nerves to work on Ricoh AF1018?

                          I would suggest to drop it and to start usin medium workgroup machines.
                          Ricoh AF1015-1018 needs a PM every 60k.

                              I would suggest to drop it and to start usin medium workgroup machines.
                              Ricoh AF1015-1018 needs a PM every 60k.
                              In this economic depression one is happy with every new customer. Will not turn a customer down with an otherwise good working machine just out of bigotry.

                                  change only consumable drum cleaing blade developer only and rest pm counter in mode 5.

                                      I'm with Zed on this one. Use complete units. The charge rollers setup in these makes it a nightmare to lube your drum/blade without contaminating the charge roller surface. Time is money.
