    SMC Report

This may be of some help, if people have reset counters as they should.

Get into the service mode, and enter SP 5990 (#4 / Logging Data). Then look under 7803 for the number of copies made since the last PM. This model has 150,000 intervals between PM's. A PM consists of new drum, developer, and a PM Kit. Pretty close to $1000 retail. The SC history will show if there are any unresolved, repeating issues. The jam history, 7507, will show how well it's feeding paper. I believe 7508 is the ADF jam history, it will say. I hope that this helps.

      Lease

Don't buy a copier, period. Especially those 2035/2045 toner dumpsters.

Stay away from older models. Of the ones posted the 2060, 2075 and the 2090 would be my favourites. The 3035 and 3045 can be OK if they aren't high count units and have been well maintained, but they run dirty and need more care than the bigger boxes. As for the rest, leave them for someone else.
