    Interposer Question, with Z fold

On the Toshiba/Ricoh 1105, can you use the Interposer tray to send papers to the Z Fold unit bypassing the copier? If so how? Salesman said you can, I cant figure it out?

    Yes.

You would have to send one sheet throught the copier and set a job in cover slipsheet mode to insert the required number of slipsheets sheets from the interposer either before or after original 1. Set the paper size on the interposer to the correct size / direction and with Z fold selected the interposer sheets should fold. Despite what the "official line" says, you can also punch the sheets if required.

I suppose if you set the number of insert sheets to a high number, say 500, and insert BEFORE the first original, you could always keep loading the interposer and pause the job before the original feeds through the ADF, thus saving a sheet of paper!

This type of job will soon KNACKER the interposer and you won't get any clicks from the job!
