So recently i had to do a cyan toner pump change out on a customer's 2238c. This pretty much requires you to completely tare apart the machine. Everything went smooth, and it went back together fine but now copies from the scanner aren't completely square (not to bad though). And copies using the bypass really aren't square. My boss with very little knowledge of working on copiers thinks that i might have bent something in the bypass area(maybe the door) or that i didn't line it up perfectly. And with how simple it is to put on the bypass door i really don't think that's the case. Is there anything else that i could have f'd up that would cause this?

I think you have to remove the laser unit for this job, right? That would most likely be the source of the problem.

If it is copies that are the issue the scanner may be sitting somewhat cocked, or perhaps you removed some extra screws that hold the scanner rails and the adjustment is now off. If everything is off, including printing then the LDU could be sitting a little off.

Run some 1 dot grid and trimming test patterns. if these are square, it's the scanner (Probably) If not square, as mentioned by the others, check the laser. Also perform the coarse and fine line position adjustments if you haven't already.
