Help please,
We've got a Gestetner MPC2500 that has developed a new problem the symptoms are as follows:
- printer stops printing from any networked machine, print spooler backs up
- incoming data light blinks continuosly
- system screen and printer control panel are inaccessbile, (machine beeps when button pressed but no access)
- displays error message Resetting print job 18x12(2), but no jobs are visible in Print Jobs or Stored Jobs areas.
I've tried the following and did manage to successfully print from several machines, but then the same problem occured again.
- Stopped all Print Spoolers cleared and restarted (no jobs visible )
- Stoped Printer Services.msc on the main server and restarted (No Jobs Visible)
- Restarted the machine (Took several attempts to clear error message)
- replaced the Network Cable
- Checked and installed the latest driver for Windows 7 (Workstations) and Server 2008R2 (Server)
Having read other similar problems I believe it may be a fault with the HDD but don't know where it's located on this machine.
Any help would be really appreciated
Thanks
John
