Davel: I bought original parts Ricoh, not maintenance kit, but separatly each spare part:
- OPC drum
- OPC drum blade
- pick-off pawls
- transfer belt
- transfer belt blade
- charge roller apply
- brush roller
- developer (powder)
- developing filters

As I look at this SP 8200 maintenance kit 402960 it is whole PCU assembly and whole developing assembly. This could be a good solution for my problem. Is there developer (powder) inside this maintenance kit or I must it buy separately?



Phil B.: I did not clean nothing - mistake? Drum was clean, cleaning roller clean...
After replacing drum, blade, developer,.... I make exactly this:
1.) Make developer initialization (ID sensor initial setting) SP3001-2,
2.) Grayscale setting SP2810-1
3.) After replacing the charge roller and cleaning roller, I checked the value of SP2001-001 and set SP2001-001 to "1500".
4.) Set the developer lot number (from developer package) - SP2801
5.) * see the mark


*Probably I miss 2805-1 - could be this the problem???

Or I missed something?

ALL ADJUSTMENTS MUST BE MADE... that's WHY they are in the SERVICE MANUAL

any TECH worth his SALT will CLEAN A MACHINE BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE!

On most Ricoh machines, replace dev then you have to do SP2801 initialisation. Read your manual.

It's already 10,000 copies after we replaced PM parts of this MP 4000. Now our customer observed that after copying 5 copies,gray background covering the whole sheet of the paper appears. I tried to clean the PCU and changed charge roller but still no to avail. Does anyone had experienced the same problem as this? Thanks.

hi, if you allow me, in addition to everything that was rightly written I would also suggest to remove the small front cover of the pcdu upper, and with a finger pull out the spring with the agitator, with the vacuum cleaner, suck well the last part of the drain duct (see the picture), usually I always find it almost obstructed with lumps and lint (also customers hair?) from above you can not well ..

.as someone has already suggested to you, if I were you, I would also clean well the internal laser unit and all its mirrors of the polygon and internal glass, this will solve some strange problems, even in the future
