I have several of these models in my patch. They seem to run dirty with toner dust blowing around and also some have low print density. It appears the developer needs changing after about 200k. Most of these machines replaced mp7500s which ran ok. Anyone else seeing this? cheers

You using OEM toner? It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

I had a couple of 2060 and 6000s with copy quality issues that were caused by bad voltage from the wall. You may want to make sure you're getting the right amount of juice to the machine. Also, are the machines running within spec for volume? Some of the older family members always had issues with low volume.Comment

change sp2966 from "24" to "4" whats happening with these new machines is the process control is too precise and not able to check correctly. change this Sp and it should change your life. It fixed at least 10 of my machines from 40k on developer back to 350k life. also change developer before you change this one more time. Good luckComment

@rthonpm - going on the lengthy warmup of the 9001 it does fit the 'older family' categoryLast edited by BLADE; 07-18-2011, 02:32 AM.Comment
