We have a Ricoh Aficio 2022 in the field that will not come to ready--it also will not recognize commands on the control panel--any ideas?

Regarding the op panel issue... could it be a key is stuck?

Does the engine start and make all the usual sounds on start-up?

Try replacing the cooling fan in front of the power supply board.
I believe its on the left side under the exit tray.
If this fan binds the MFD won't come up to ready state. Display would freeze and go blank.
Had this fault a long time ago, I believe it was a AF 2022, not certain.
