Updating firmware on MPC7500 and I get E41

    Hi guys.

I have a machine which displays E41 when I put an SD card with firmware into the machine.

It does the usual "preparing to update firmware" message as per normal but after 20 odd seconds it displays 'E41' instead of displaying the firmware versions etc.

Anyone had this or know where in the manual I can find the Code meaning?

That is a fax firmware update error. Try removing it from the card and update the rest. Might be a corrupted file or the wrong one.

I had that exact problem on an MPC4000 a few months ago - it drove me nuts - until I realized that I had used a 2GB card.

I then used my 1 GB card and life was once again good.

2GB cards will work on some machines but not others.
