MPC7500 with Sr5000 finisher, jams when you attempt to staple A4R (short edge feed)

Every time I try to staple short edge fed A4 paper it jams on entry to staple tray, first sheet, every time.

I have heard this is not uncommon with this exact configuration, our tech support have no answer.

Ideas please.

First thing I would do is to make sure all of the firmware is current. There is a reference in the firmware history log for System/Copy that addresses some finisher job bugs. Make sure you install the firmware as a set, you will need to match up the versions per the notes listed on the TSC site.
Also, this finisher has specific firmware and a mainboard that is used when attached to this particular model. If moved between models, they have to be changed. Any chance that this may play into it, or has it been working fine until recently?

Slipping one way bearing on shaft situated behind the finisher main board,roughen up shaft,works a treat-bit of a bastard to get to!!

Hi,
I've had this a couple of times now with SR5000's and have found it to be the sensor under the R7 gate!
It only shows a jam when using A4 SEF. Worth a check.
