Ricoh Aficio 2060 error SC495 what else can it be

WE changed the entire dev unit and the error comes back after one copy!!!
Error has to do with toner recycling as per serv man from our favourite manual guy Paul!

Check the recycling subsection in the rear. The number one cause of this error is a dirty sensor at the top of the subsection that detects the rotation of the auger, 2nd is binding in the tube, preventing rotation of the auger . Attached is the tech bulletin has the part number for the entire sub section, below is the info from the Knowledge Base.....

	[Problem] SC 495 after 1 copy
	Answer
	[Cause]If the toner collection coil sensor [31] does not change within 3 seconds after the drum motor turns on, then SC 495 (Toner Recycling Unit Error) is logged. Paper dust built up on the toner collection coil sensor [31] and /or bad sensor. Worn toner collection coil drive belt [1]. The transport coil [43 & 26] maybe clogged and cannot rotate. 1. Clean and check the toner collection coil sensor [33] with SP Mode 5-803-013, bit 5 should change from 1 to 0 or 0 to 1 when SP5-804-28 (Main Motor) is turned on.2. Check that the toner collection coil drive belt [1] is not worn allowing for proper drive of the toner collection sensor pulleys [27 & 28].3. Check that the toner collection coil [43 & 26] is not clogged, it can cause the toner collection drive belt [1] to slip. have had this often on 2051 and 2060 toner recycling sensor dirty -the one behind the dv unit accessible from the rear of the machine. u will have to loosen and fold out the larger pcb on the right upper side facing the rear of the machine. way easier to do by blowing it out with compressed air can. reply if this helps.

Sc495s are pretty common on this series. It's usually the white tube (#26 in Teebee's diagram) gets clogged & the flag (#28) doesn't turn. The sensor (#31) can also get fouled beyond just doing an air can cleaning.

I've also had the spiral on the lower assy. auger (not shown) get separated, but that took a couple of thousand prints before the Sc495 came back.

Pull the rear recycling unit and clean the sensor and the toner which has hardened like cement inside the tubes

the tube was plugged and the auger would not turn and the sensor was dirty...a lot of ands....but now it works!!!! awesome...thanks to everyone!!!
