MP C3500 login to webpage monitor

I am installing this unit and we can see the web page monitor but when I login using admin with no password it fails . so I tried it with a password which is password and it still fails . It lets me login in as supervisor and I even changed the login back to admin and no password . But when I try to login again using the
new user name and password it still says authentication failed . Any ideas I am going crazy with this one. Thanks.

After logging in as supervisor in Web Image Monitor and changing the password you did click "ok" before logging back out.

    Doesn't save it otherwise.

Or it might be "accept" not "ok" can't remember precisely

After you've logged in as supervisor you only get the link to change the admin password, once you've gone in and changed it and it goes back to the screen with admin 1, admin 2, admin 3 etc, there's either an "accept" or "ok" link at the top of the screen. You have to click that before logging out to save the changes.

I have done this almost 100 % sure and also I changed it from the control pannel as well still no go . They are using a HP protect tools security centre which kinds of interfaces with this but cant see anything wrong here either.
