You cant start timing until the first copy comes out.
You should be happy that they are coming out at all!

      Printing Speed
      (A4/8.5" x 11" LEF):

      Model Plain Paper Thick OHP
      TH-C1b: Color 10 cpm 4 cpm 2 cpm
      Black & White 24 cpm 6.5 cpm 3.2 cpm

      TH-C1c Color 10 cpm 4 cpm 2 cpm
      Black & White 32 cpm 6.5 cpm 3.2 cpm

That didn't paste very well, but the basic gist of it is these machines don't copy higher than 10cpm in colour mode. 24 and 32 in B&W respectively. Doesn't really explain what's going on with yours though. Is it the same in printing and copying?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

yes it is the same speed in both print and copy mode, it dose it's first copy in about 6sec's and then just dose the rest, at a steady pace and i have tried another m/c in the workshop and i get 22 to 23 copies a min

are you sure you have b/w selected and not auto color? in auto color it is making process black and that would account for the slow copy speed, ...just a thought

Is this with more than one original scanned? Because the image belt is Tabloid length, it will process 2 images per revolution. I'm thinking only 1 original scanned might leave a letter size gap between prints.

Addendum: I think even a single scan with multiple output will place 2 images on the belt. Is there any chance the paper is set to a Thick setting (that will cut the speed in half).
