[CQ] MPC 2000 Black banding on copies or prints

    Hi folks,
I am having aproblem with a mpc 2000 with light gray and dark gray banding on both copies and prints (66k on blk unit) mach. has 90k total. Replaced transfer belt and cleaner assy. and cleaned trans. roller. lines were on back of copies/prints as well. after cleaning trans. roll lines on back seemed to go away. i have panic stoped the mach. and lines(banding) is on trans.belt but not on blk.drum.
Thanks in advance for the help.

99.9% of any banding issues I've had with these boxes has been the charge roller on the relevant colour, first thing I'd do is take the charge roller out and clean it, even if it doesn't cure your fault it only takes 5-10mins to do.

If the bands are on the transfer belt but not the black drum then it must be a transfer cleaning issue because logically there's nowhere else the toner could be coming from.

Check that the waste toner transport that takes the waste from the transfer cleaning unit isn't clogged or backed up. I've never had a problem (touch wood) with it before but it's worth a quick look.

        Update:
Cleaning charge roller took care of the problem.
        Many thanks Ollie,
