With regard to your SP3200SF, I've had this before. There's a switch that the PCU contacts to supply power to the laser unit. Users whack the PCU in, dislodging the switch and cutting the laser power with no codes or anything.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
