I have an Aficio 2035 with jamming in the document feeder. Don't do many of these. But a good customer has one he wants fixed. The original is picked up and fed to the large set of rollers where it stops. The drive mechanism for theose rollers is turniong. I took the covers off and can see the drive turneing. Plus turning the blue/green maunal feed gear does not advance the paper beyond the large rollers. If I open the cover and put a slight bit of pressure on the rollers the paper will feed when turning the manual feed rollers. So my question is what is the part number for the large feed rollers? Thanks for the help in advance.

Also buff the feed shaft where the 1 way clutch of the belt holder sits on it. It gets glassy and causes intermittent jamming as described above.Comment

Re: Aficio 2035 doc feed problems
If you take the front cover off the document feeder you'll see a big white plastic pulley that turns the drive shaft of the aforementioned large rollers, I bet you a pint that the splines inside this gear have worn away so although you can see the gear being driven by the belt, it's just turning on the shaft and not actually driving it.
You have three options:-
1/ Order the full shaft (the pulley isn't available as a separate part)
2/ Cannibalise the pulley from a scrap machine you have in your warehouse
3/ Glue the gear on with epoxy resin or similar, taking into consideration that depending on how worn/out of round the pulley is where the splines were previously, it might be difficult to get it back on dead straight.Comment

Re: Aficio 2035 doc feed problems
Just wanted to say thank you for the help. I did find a rebuilt doc feeder for a reasonable price. And the part number for the shaft is also a tremendous help. The feed rolls are turning. I marked one and then tried to run a page through. The mark did rotate. I also watched it turn when using the hand feed mech.Comment
