    MPC2500

    Hi all.
Just wondering if a charge roller unit from a colour drum (cyan) will work in a black drum unit, i think it"s ridiculous that it"s not a service part
    Thanks in advance

I've swapped them before when I was in a pinch. I cleaned the charge roller with alcohol first, and I didn't have any CQ issues.

out of curiosity which bw copier charge roller did you use on the MPC2500?
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

There's no problem swapping Charge rollers, since the whole black PCU can be used as a colour unit by simply 'edging' the plug connector on the back of the assy.

I agree with sandmanmac, just use the K pcu for all the colors. less than a hundred for K, four times that for the colors. Just crazy they have that much profit in a part.

Both charge roller units are MPC 2500 Knightfall, I found a cyan drum unit which was low volume but the drum had failed so wanted to carry the charge unit as a spare.
