Can anybody confirm that the drum only for Ricoh mp4500 fits in the Ricoh MP5000 COPIER?

Re: Ricoh mp5000 drum only
I don't think it does. The MP5000 drum is D009 9510.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Actually you can swap them, you just need to pop off the rear (gear side) end cap and switch them. I've only had to do it a few times. you can carefully place needle nose tips in the vent holes and try any gently rock it off. Or if you have a metal shaft (long screwdriver or old drum shaft) that is longer then the drum you can drop it in from the front end and tap out the rear from the inside. I don't recommend trying to get a sharp edge between the end of the drum tube and the end cap and working it off, you will most likely stab your hand (I have the scar to prove it).Comment

Re: Ricoh mp5000 drum only
I would be very careful swopping drums on the 4000/5000 series. We made the mistake of swopping the Ricoh drums with Katun ones and all this series machines started to run light and chew up their dev long before it was due. We now swopped back to the Ricoh drum and all is well!Press the GREEN button!!Comment

Re: Ricoh mp5000 drum only
Yes they do - I used original ricoh drums (A232) several times if I didn't had the D009 in my car stock and had no special issues due to that procedure. There is no need to pop out any gears or plastic - the gear end of the drum looks a bit different but the gear itself has proper dimensions and the drum get's finally aligned by the drum/drive shaft properly.Comment
