    MPC4500 with Fiery Printing issue

Got a Ricoh MPC4500 with a Fiery E5000 attached, it seems to be jamming just before the reg, on printing only. If I do copyingit will do it all day. The siite has many of the same machine configured the same, with no other issue. We even attached another machine to the Fiery and we are still getting the same issue.

    Any Ideas

had a similar problem a few years ago with a 3260 and it was an old fiery from the previous machine they had. Im not too sure of what they done it was either an old/wrong driver or firmware fault that corrected it. copied ok but jammed printing from the fiery from install.

You done a software reload on the Fiery?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

Just a thought, but could the fiery be set for a different paper size? Say A4 as opposed to LTR, or vice versa? It's been awhile since I dealt with a fiery so I could be completely wrong.

Make sure you are running System Software 1.01. There's 18 patches for Sys 1..01 and although it's mind numbingly boring to install them all if you can afford the time it's worth doing. I've had a few weird and wonderful problems printing to the E-5000 using the PCL driver and would suggest that Postscript is the way to go.
