Has anyone try using regular HDD or do you have to get the B2235090 matched RAID set from ricoh?

    Thanks

You can use regular HDD's, but you do have to replace them as a matched pair

If you are stuck on a call with hard drive errors on a Ricoh with any RAID, just swap the SATA cables between the drives and reboot. I have done this many times with MP9000's and even a 3260 with four drives. Worked every time. Regular drives are fine.

I don't know about the 2 machines you mentioned, but the C4500 uses IDE drives
