    MPC5502 please wait

    We have a mpc5502 right out of the box, displays please wait , never show anything else, no code. We have unplugged all options and hdd,

    Make sure none of the connectors on the controller are loose or pinched. Sometimes delivery is not the friend of a machine.

      Our problem was the power supply and the controller board.

          Seems to be a spate of "out of the box" faults with the latest Ricoh machines.
          We've had quite a few lately with major faults at run up.

            You can try inserting a card in with the firmware for the mc, If you can get to the firmware screen try and exit and see if MC reboots ok, I saved one doing this that was stuck on please wait. Didnt upload firmware, just got to firmware screen and exited. Not sure at all how it worked but it did. Good Luck.
