Re: Infotec ISC824 - 12320 Error
You can still download ScanRouter, but there's no support for it.
The Network Guide (available for download at www.ricoh-support.com) explains how to setup scan-to-email. There's no need for installing additional software when you use Scan-to-email. You need a networked machine and an SMTP-server that can forward the mail from the machine.
For Twain scanning you can use something like PaperPort or some other scanprogram. Ricoh only supplies the driver.Leave a comment:

Many thanks Eric.
I noticed that Ricoh still has ScanRouter to download.. what program(s) allow Network Twain or Scan to Email as you suggested?Leave a comment:

Re: Infotec ISC824 - 12320 Error
The most simple way is using network twain, or scan to email. Scan Router is not supported anymore by Ricoh and can give issues with firewalls and anti-virus software.Leave a comment:

Thanks for the information so far!
Does that mean DesktopBinder is not required but in fact, I should be using the Scan Router program instead?
Am not at the PC/ Scanner to check what is installed/ configured presently.Leave a comment:

Re: Infotec ISC824 - 12320 Error
You can't scan using a parallel cable. This machine can do Network Twain scanning, scan-to-email, and scan-to-folder (with the use of the Scan Router program).Leave a comment:

Infotec ISC824 - 12320 Error
Hi,
I am looking for some assistance in fixing an error I receive whilst trying to scan using an Infotec ISC824.
I am using the following from a Windows XP computer:
DesktopBinder v5 Lite
TWAIN v3
(both downloaded from Ricoh website)
In DesktopBinder TWAIN is showing as Type 1232 Scanner 3.7900 (32-32)
When trying to scan, it shows : Searching then 12320 : cannot find the scanner
Check if the scanner main power is on
then
Opening of the [Browse for TWAIN Driver] dialog box has failed (301-231)
I have read that this may be due to firewall issues but I have disabled Kapersky and still receive the same error.
The Infotec is not connected through a router but direct through the parallel cable.
Finally, unsure if there is a connection however, the PC has an yellow exclamation showing that the SM Bus Controller is not working in Device Manager.
I will be picking problem back up in the next few weeks so any assistance/ tips/ guidance would be grateful for my return.
Many thanks in advance.
David.
