Af2090 print problem...

Hi,

I have problem want to install the printer driver for AF2090. I can Ping the IP number, but can't install the driver (the computer can't find the printer). I go to service mode (AF2090), but there are only copy sp displayed. There are no printer sp or others function. As I know, this machine have full function except fax. I have no problem to install before.

Make sure the print/scan SD card is fully seated. Push it and make sure it locks in place.

Be sure to do this with the power OFF.

Check if 5985- NIC on board is set to 0.....change it to 1.

Did you add the print scan option to this unit?? If so you need more than the SD card for P/S you need additional memory or P/S won't register on the machine...

I have no problem with this machine before. It happen suddenly last week. I have both sd card (scanner and PS). I cleaned the card and put it back as before. However, still not working. Even I cannot push the scanner and print button.

I would check these items,

• The extra 256MB dimm is inserted above the standard dimm (check the config page for total memory, make sure it adds up)
• Printer/Scanner SD is in slot C1 and PS is in slot C2
• SP5985 - 001 is set to '1'
  
• Reload firmware
• Replace the SD card if all else fails (check the files on it and compare to a known good one if possible).

The machine only use 128MB ram (x1). printer/scanner and PS card in the right position. but I can't find SP5985, there are jump to SP5990. Changed with New SD card but not working.

Never worked on this one , but I'm surprised to hear you say it happened suddenly, because according to my documentation/ Goose Guide, it seems that the machine does require a 256Mb card. I would take another look at that

Thank you for your information. I tried to use 256MB ram (128x2) or 256 MB ram (256x1), the machine not working (please wait all the time). So, I removed one of the ram. So the machine running with 128MB ram (see picture). I thought that the 128MB ram is enough to run the machine. I think the problem must be the ram or ram slot. Will let you all now after I fix with new ram.

Dear All,

I went to the machine today, First, I install both ram (128 x 2) in both ram slots. Then, I on the machine and the machine just "please wait" then I wait! nothing. I off the machine and took out one of the ram. Now I turn on the machine with 128MB ram. It's work! but with no scanner and printer functions. I don't think that the ram slot damaged. I tried both ram slots with 128MB ram, the machine working well (with 128MB ram). I also have 256MB ram, I installed at the printer, also not working. Any idea why the machine cannot install both of slot/with 256 ram?
