MP2352 - remove print fax

I have an MP2352 with Fax option. I installed the fax transfer to a file but the customer wants to suppress the printing of fax paper.

I just need the fax. Pdf format in the folder.

How can I suppress printing? I think it is in Bit / switch but I do not find.

I thought it was switch 21 bit 6 in User Tools, but I'm not sure. You can find it in the fax user manual.

I think it is Switch 11, bit 6 to 0. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

I looked at it again, and it seems that switch might actually do the trick when 'forwarding' is on, but it seems that it is specifically for disabling the printing of all messages so they are just stored (never used it myself).

This is switch 11:

Bit 1: Not used
Bits 2 to 5: Not used
Bit 6: Printout of messages received while acting as a forwarding station, 0: Off, 1: On

If the device has a print function you could always install the LANFax driver to be able to send faxes just like a print job from a PC. That way you're limiting the use of paper on both the transmission and reception side.

Don't have a manual handy, but you can have the communication result report emailed, by selecting it in user tools / fax features/ Reception.....
and in the menu right near where you turned on forwarding in the first place, I believe you have the option of "folder TX result report": Email / Do not email

The client already installed this option. But he still wants to reduce its paper consumption by sending the acknowledgment to the PC.

I gave my suggestion above for how to do that, however, most clients simply disable the confirmation (acknowledgement) altogether.
So why not turn it off,. It will then only print out if there is an error- Ie: no answer, hang up, etc.
